DIY Halloween Costume Consultation

Thinking about Halloween costumes yet?!

If not, it’s time to start! :)

I teamed up with thredUP to host a costume contest!

How it works:

Head over to thredUP {here}  and pick a piece of clothing that sparks a creative costume idea. Post the link in your comment and tell me what your costume idea is. That’s it!

The winner will be chosen by me and have a $50 budget to spend ANYWHERE. The $50 will go towards the costume pieces & shipping. I’ll make the costume, under your expert direction, and ship it to you!

The costume will be also featured on thredUP’s blog, twitter, and Facebook (41,000+ fans)!

Alright everyone! What’s your idea?!

Haven’t heard of thredUP?

It’s an online clothing store that sells like-new kids clothes for super cheap. I got some shirts for my kiddos & they were in really good condition. No rips, stains, etc.
From thredUP:
“We have VERY strict quality guidelines.  We don’t accept items that have stains, rips, tears, holes, excessive fading, etc.  In addition, when an order is placed, our warehouse team re-inspects each item to make sure it’s in excellent condition.  If an item isn’t up to par, we will still include it in the order, but refund the buyer for the cost of the item.  We call them “flawed freebies”.  In all honesty, most of the “flawed freebies” have such minor flaws that you can’t even really notice them.”

I know Madeline has a blue dress, but this Red dress would make a great substitute. I would replace the bow to a red tie and a yellow rimmed hat. love it!

I’m happy to see that they have stuff for bigger kids too. This item http://www.thredup.com/items/279886-Motion-Wear-activewear-12 will make the perfect base for my daughter’s angelic devil costume. Add the red tulle skirt, angel wings I have, make a headband with horns holding up a halo and she wants a devil tail.
