Yarn Camera

Hi All!

If you follow me on Facebook, here’s the project my husband was confused about…

If you don’t follow me, you really should {wink!} BUT I’ll brief you anyways ;)

I made this adorable ____ {the answer is “camera“} sans the strap and showed it to Mr. V.

Mr. V:  “Cute, but what is it?”

Me: {surprised he didn’t get it, don’t know if he’s joking}

“Come on, don’t be like that… what is it?!”

Mr. V: “I honestly don’t know.”

Me: {irritated, not sure if I’m irritated with him or my poor crafting skills}

“Uuuuugh, it’s a camera.”

Mr. V: “How was I suppose to get that?

Camera’s don’t have hearts on the lenses.”

Then I remembered, my husband is a complete left-brainer and even though it resembles a camera (even if only slightly… lol), it could definitely NOT be one because of the heart. After taking this into account, I decided it does look like a camera. He’s wrong.

Maybe he would’ve figured it out if the camera strap was attached… maybe…. ;)

Anyways… I digress. Back to the original topic of this post, the competition.

Lion Brand Yarn asked me to be a part of their crafting competition.

They would send me their latest installment of yarn (Bonbons) and I, using any other materials I desired, would create something. Always up for a challenge, I said yes.

I wanted to show that yarn could be used in many different crafts in a variety of ways. That’s when I came up with this camera. Cute eh?

Here’s hoping I win the competition! I should know in a few days.

If I don’t, the tutorial will be up after the winner is announced.
