DIY LalaLoopsy Cake
Step one: Hire your aspiring pastry chef friend to make & frost the cake ;)
{come on, we can’t do it all! right?!}
Here’s what I did do ;)
Step Two: Add these adorable buttons.
1. Grab an assortment of Candy Melts.
2. Pipe Royal Icing button holes onto the back of each candy melt.
3. Let them sit until the icing hardens.
4. Place all over the cake.
Step Three: Add a Button Banner to the cake.
1. Cut fabric triangles and fray check the edges.
2. Hot glue (or sew) the buttons onto the triangles.
3. Hot glue (or sew) the triangles onto a ribbon.
4. Hot glue onto two skewers and insert into cake top.
And there it is… your very own Lalaloopsy cake!

So cute! Love it!
That is so adorable! I love it. Looks special but is very doable. Thanks for the tut.
Okay, those are the cutest buttons and easy to boot! I’ll have to remember that if I ever need to do another baby cake, I always have plenty of candy melts on hand.
What a great idea to use candy melts for the buttons instead of fondant. THANK YOU!
Thanks! I’m glad you like them. They turned out really cute…if I do say so myself ;)
I still want an easier way to make the Royal icing, any suggestions??? Thank you.
