itchin’ to see what in the world that sneak-peak was all about!!{ha! ok, in my pretend world my crafts are that important to you!… anyways…}
a few weeks ago Vanessa {from The Crafty Nest} contacted me, asking me if I’d participate in a craft challenge called “Do Something Crafty!” {read more about it here!} Basically, she sent 4 crafters the exact same materials and we had two weeks to create something with it {I’m being featured today}.
I’m not going to lie, I was a little nervous I saw what she sent me: fabric and yarn. As some of you are aware, all of my stuff is just now making it’s way across the country in a moving truck {including my sewing machine and crochet hooks!!}. Needless to say, I felt completely stumped when I opened the package.
So I thought, and thought, and thought, and thought… and then I was tired of thinking so I walked into the kitchen, grabbed a glass of OJ, leaned up against the counter, looked across my living room… and there it was, sitting on my mantel… begging for a makeover…
Although the Grecian look it kind-of timeless, this vase had reached it’s “heidi expiration date” {not hard to do in my home!}. So I grabbed my handy-dandy glue gun and went to work… here’s the tutorial if your interested in re-vamping your sad-little-vase ;)
REVAMP YOUR VASE:
accessorize {I added a felt flower and felt strips} & step back to admire your handiwork!
Thanks Vanessa for helping me get my creative without all my crafting gear! Don’t forget the giveaway! You have until Thurs night to enter!

this is soooo lovely!
I love this, like "la-la-la-la-love" this! So creative!
I think your vase is lovely. You have my vote.
Heidi, I didn't want to say this on the other blog, but I think your vase blows the other ones out of the water. Theirs are nice, but if yours were an outfit, you'd so win project runway for being innovative and still pretty.
