Paper Rosette Tutorial

I have actually seen this method used all over the place recently, especially for felt flowers. It is a really beautiful way to get some awesome rosettes!
Cut a square out of paper (scrapbook paper, books pages, newspaper, etc.).

Draw this onto the back of it.

Start cutting from the edge and work your way into the middle.

Should look like this.

Cut the shape out of the paper.

Starting from the outside of the circle begin rolling the paper.

Keep rolling it until you have reached the end of the paper.

Let the paper go and it will unfurl into this! so cute. I like lift the rosette from the base and add a little hot glue to keep it in place.

Certainly going to try this – both in paper and fabric.

How big of a paper did you start with? It's super cute.

  4. Heidi says:

That paper was pretty small, maybe 4 inches X 4inches?… The larger the paper is will increase how many rings you have. If you want a flower that is taller all you need to do it cut the rings really thick.
